Can anyone give me clear, simple directions to find the X-Factor Dvd?
Did Yamaha abandon this endeavor? They certainly don't make it very
easy to locate...HELP!!

Hi,

I recently purchased a KX25 - the XFactor DVD was packaged in a paper envelope that contained 3 DVDs:
1. Cubase AI4
2. Tools for KX
3. VST 3rd Party Mega Pack

The envelope with the DVDs was included in the cardboard-backed plastic bag that also contained
the User Manual.

Hope this helps!

Are you happy with the KX25? I'm considering that one to go on trips. But also considering the Axiom 25 from M audio. I think it may be reundant because I already hace a KX8, and I love it. Any light on this, I'll really appreciated...

Hmmmm... well, My xfactor disk was located on the outside of the box that the KX8 came in. It was NOT inside the box... but on the outside of it.

As someone else mentioned, take a good look at the box the controller comes in. After reading some posts here, I went back and found the VST DVD on the end of the box. It could easily be mistaken for a packing slip packet

I received my kx61 w/0 the x-factor as well- it was a c-stock model from a catalog company, and i waited over a month for delivery- the box seemed to have something removed from the outside. Just call yamaha (the #'s on the instruction manual) and talk to customer service. Tony at customer service resolved my problem in a few minutes- now I'm just waiting to (hopefully) receive the dvd- as the arturia, bfd, and sampletank content, though down-sized versions, made me choose the yamaha over the emu 49, which also included enourmous software selections. Good luck
